My family is one of the most important parts of my life. Most of them live eight states away... which often feels like about eighteen thousand worlds apart... and so whenever I have a chance to visit with them I try to squeeze in every possible minute I can find--right down to looking for an earlier flight out or a later flight home. At the end of August, my brother and sister-in-law had their first baby, Lola Maria, and I got to spend a whole glorious week helping them take care of her. I was so excited, I was antsy during the entire cab ride from the airport. She was six weeks old then and just as beautiful as ever, and her sweet little personality was just starting to show. I hardly put her down the entire time. I think her mom and dad were okay with that. :) While I was there, my sister-in-law and I spent some time taking pictures, and though I am definitely not a skilled baby photographer, we got some great pictures and had lots of fun with little Lola. Here are some of my favorites. Lola is the second new baby in our family, only eight months behind My sister's daughter, Avery Grace. It amazes me how much I love these beautiful little girls. By the way, major kudos to all the baby photographers out there! I never imagined it was an easy job, but I didn't even realize how much goes into it until I tried it myself. Hard work but so much fun!
